What is PixBox?
PixBox is a mobile application that shares, organizes and securely stores your photos to the cloud the moment they are captured. Simply create an album, invite your friends to the album, and begin adding photos with our intelligent in-app camera or by uploading photos from your iPhone camera roll.
Is the app free?
The app is free. We will be releasing premium features in the near future.
Does the app work internationally?
Currently, the app only works in the United States. However, as we continue to expand and grow, we will provide the service to people around the world.
PRIVACY
Who can contribute to an album?
Only members invited to an album can view and add photos to it.
Who can view my photos and albums?
Your photos are only accessed over an encrypted connection, so they cannot be located by anyone who does not have access to the group itself. Only members of the album can view the photos you share.
Who can share / delete my photos?
Photos can be shared or deleted only by the member who added that photo to the album. As a result, we allow our users to have control of the content they create and share with others.
Is there a way to share my photos more safely?
Yes. Our Review Mode feature allows you to capture all your favorite moments and review them later to share or delete. Simply activate Review Mode by tapping "Review Off" on the camera screen. Every photo you take will be temporarily sent to the album activated, however will NOT be viewed by others until you approve them. To review your photos, enter the album and tap on the red banner. Like Tinder, you can approve and delete photos by swiping left or right.
How can I view all the photos I added to an album?
When viewing an album, you will see two tab buttons. Tap on the button on the right to switch to "MY PHOTOS" view to see only the photos you've added to the album.
Can I upload photos from my phone's camera roll?
Yes. When viewing an album, simply tap on the up-arrow on the bottom left of your screen. You will be able to view and select photos to upload from your camera roll.
How do I invite a large group of people (i.e. weddings, family dinners)
Each album is asssigned a unique Album PIN, which can be shared to allow mass groups to join your album. You can share the PIN via text message or email by entering the album menu and tapping "Share Album PIN". Recipients of the PIN simply copy it, paste it into the search bar on the album screen, and tap join to join your album.
Where do I enter an Album PIN to join an album?
Enter the Album PIN in the search bar in the album screen and tap join to join it!
How can I leave an album?
Tap "Leave Album" in the album menu. Before you leave the album, you will be provided two options to manage your photos from that album:
Option 1: Delete and Save Photos to Camera Roll
Option 2: Delete Photos
Can I change the name of an album?
The album name can only be changed by the album creator (administrator).
